The Beginning

Originally named "North Central High School" and housed in an old elementary school in Ft. Hamilton, Brooklyn, New York. "Edward R. Murrow High School" was established by Saul Bruckner, the Pioneer of Murrow HS.
Mr. Bruckner helped shape our lives and will never be forgottenl! Thank you for everything, Mr. Bruckner!
(sorry I got a lil emotional, everyone who knew him, will tell you what an amazing man he was) .

Edward R. Murrow High School was named after the reknowned Broadcast Journalist, Edward R. Murrow. Just as Murrow was known to be a pioneer and very influential, that is where we started, as pioneers for a new educational experience and here we are 50 years strong.
MURROWSTRONG! The original First graduating classes of Edward R. Murrow

The Edward R. Murrow educational format was based on the Pedagogical theories of John Dewey
(another influential pioneer)
There's a definite pattern here!
